Launched in 1997 Major Freight is one of the ‘new breed' of International shipping and forwarding agents
in Northern Ireland. Although a relatively young company senior staff have worked for many years in the
shipping industry. At the helm is Paul Woods who started his career as a ‘dock boy' in 1966. In the early years
Paul held a number of operational posts before switching to sales in the late 70's. Prior to setting up Major
Freight he was sales director for one of the largest privately
owned shipping agents in the U.K. . A member of both
The institute of Logistics and Transport and The institute of Export Paul is a well known and respected figure
in shipping circles.
